Farewell To Fullmetal
Readers of the manga have been getting nervous as of late. With the anime rapidly catching up to the manga storyline, fans have been fearing the possible approach of the dreaded filler arc that has plagued so many other top-notch anime series.

FMA fans can now relax (and cry) as the final chapter of the manga is due out this June. This will conclude the manga's 9 year run that started July 12, 2001. The final episodes of the anime have also been planned accordingly.
Naruto Shippuuden Movie 4
With the fillers finally over (for now), the producers of Naruto Shippuuden have channeled their "creative" energies into another movie. "Naruto Shippuuden - The Lost Tower" hits theaters July 31st, 2010. There is some small hope, however, that the movie will not be ridden with the same forgettable story elements and out-of-place characters we have come to associate with the sound of nails on a chalkboard. As you can see in the trailer below, the 4th Hokage makes an appearance in this 4th Shippuuden Movie. Hopefully it will not be so brief as to leave an opening for too many filler characters (or robots).

Yay for the Yondaime!

Note: The 3rd movie, "Naruto Shippuuden - Inheriters of the Will of Fire" will be released on DVD April 21, 2010.
Trigun Movie
12 Years after the anime hit the small screen in Japan, Trigun finally gets the big screen treatment. "Trigun - Badlands Rumble" comes to theaters in Japan April 24th, 2010. All the voice actors and key creative and production staffers from the TV series have come back to ensure the fans get the good ol' Trigun flavor they're used to. Like the Cowboy Bebop movie, "Badlands Rumble" is set relatively early in the TV series time line allowing all our beloved characters, that later on become "less alive," to be included in the story.

Rebuild of Evangelion: 2.22 Blu-ray Release
Set for release on May 26, 2010, "Rebuild of Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance" is the second of four new (not recycled) movies retelling the Evangelion saga with some new twists and turns along the way. While the first of this series, "Rebuild of Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone," followed the original story line almost to the letter, this second part has some noticeably new story content.

The first week of pre-orders have generated over 88,000 sales on Amazon Japan alone! And that's at a cost of over $60 USD (¥5,900), which is a normal price for a new release Blu-ray movie over there. Almost half of those sales were made in just the first day. The previous first day pre-order sales record was held by the Michael Jackson documentary "This Is It" with 33,000.
